Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued latest notification of Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2014 (IES ISS Exam 2014). UPSC is holding a combined competitive Examination for recruitment to Junior Time Scale of the Services commencing from 24th May, 2014. Interested Candidates may fill IES/ISS Online Application form from 08th Feb, 2014 till 10th March, 2014. Further details such as eligibility, selection process, exam date is mentioned below.


UPSC IES ISS Exam 2014 complete vacancy details :
Number of vacancies : 38
Name of Posts : 
1. Indian Economic Service (IES) : 15 posts
2. Indian Statistical Service (ISS) : 23 posts


Eligibility Criteria :

Age Limit : Candidates age should not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01st August, 2014. (Born not earlier than 2nd August, 1984 and not later than 1 st August, 1993)


Educational Qualification : 
1. For IES post : Post Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics from a University.
2. For ISS post : Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics from a University


Selection  Process : Selection will be based on Written Examination and Viva voce :
1. Written Exam carrying a maximum of 100 marks.
2. Viva voce of such candidates as may be called by the Commission , carrying a maximum of 200 marks.


Application Fee : 
1. Candidates will have to pay Rs. 200 either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI.
2. SC/ST/STC/PH/Female Candidates are not required to pay any fees.
