Meghalaya Police invites application in prescribed printed form from eligible candidates who are Indian citizens and who are domiciled in the state of Meghalaya to fill up the 1334 vacancies ofCommandos / constables Male, Mechanics, Buglers, Armourers, Signal/ Communication Constables, Drivers, Followers Posts and 120 vacancies of Armed Branch Sub Inspector Police posts.
Interested Candidates may apply via prescribed application form on or before 01st April, 2014. More detailed information is mentioned below .

1. Commandos/ constables Male: 1200 Posts (Women-180)
2. Mechanics: 08 Posts
3. Buglers: 04 Posts
4. Armourers: 04 Posts
5. Signal/ Communication Constables: 18 Posts
6. Drivers: 40 Posts
7. Followers: 60 Posts (Male)
(i) Cook: 30 Posts
(ii) Barbers: 10 Posts
(iii) Water carriers: 05 Posts
(iv) Sweepers: 10 Posts
(v) Dhobi: 05 Posts

Name of posts : Armed Branch Sub-Inspector Police
(i) Male: 111 Posts
(ii) Female: 09 Posts
Eligibility Criteria :
Age Limit :
1. For Sub Inspector Posts : Between 21 years to 27 years as on 01/01/2014.
2. For Followers posts : Between 18 years to 27 years .
3. For Remaining post : Between 18 years to 21 years .
Educational Qualification :
1. For Sub Inspector Post : Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized University.
2. For remaining posts : V Class / IX / 10th / 12th Class & Valid Driving License.
Selection Process : Selection will be based on on the performance in written test, physical efficiency tests, trade test cum interview.
Application Fee : Candidates need to pay Rs. 50 for application form at offices of all Districts superintendents of Police and Commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal, PTS Mawroh Shillong.
How to Apply : Interested Candidates can obtain the application form available at offices of all District Superintendents of Police and Commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal, PTS Mawroh Shillong from 01st March, 2014.
After getting the form, candidates will have to send the Application form along with attested copies of 4 recent passport size photographs , ST/ SC Certificates, Age certificate as per HSLC/ SSLC Certificates/ Admit Cards, Educational Qualification certificates, Additional qualification, if any should send on or before 01-04-2014.
