How do I access account information through SMS Banking?
 
Step 1: Ensure your mobile number is updated with us to access SMS banking. For registering your mobile number with us please login to Citibank Online or call Citiphones.
Step 2: Place a request through SMS by sending the corresponding keyword followed by a space and the last four digits of your debit / credit card number. For instance, if you want to fetch the payment due date on your Credit card and if the last four digits of your Credit card number are 8656, the content of the SMS to 52484/+919880752484 should be STMT 8656
Step 3: You will get the information instantly back on your mobile via SMS.

What are the charges for using SMS Banking service?
 
Citibank offers the SMS Banking service free of charge to all customers. However, any SMS to 52484/+919880752484 may be charged by your mobile operator. Please contact your mobile operator for details of SMS charges.

After sending the SMS along with the last 4-digits of Debit / Credit Card, I get an error stating "We are unable to process your request as the combination of your mobile number and the card number entered by you is incorrect." What should I do now?
          Please ensure you are requesting for this service from a mobile number which is updated with Citibank. This service is not available to Citibank customers who are trying from a non-registered mobile number. Also please ensure that the last 4-digits of the Debit / Credit Card that you provided as input belong to an account that is mapped to the mobile number from which you placed your request. For eg., If your Card number is 5520 XXXX XXXX 9023, you will have to SMS the corresponding keyword followed by a space and then followed by 9023

What happens if my phone is lost or stolen?
SMS Banking via HELP keyword does not store account / confidential details on your phone, and therefore there is no risk to your bank account even if your phone is lost or stolen.

SMS Banking is not handset dependent. It is available on all standard handsets.
