About Maulana Azad Education Foundation

/          The Foundation was established on the occasion of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's birth centenary celebrations. His eventful life was packed with outstanding achievements in the diverse fields. He was towering figure on the Indian political scene and a scholar rated high in the realms of Urdu Literature.
/ To this, he added a trend-setting innings as a journalist. But his greatest claim to fame was his contribution as a thinker with a world vision and humanist outlook. A dogged freedom fighter and an un-failing upholder of secular and democratic values.

/ The Foundation is a voluntary, non-political, non-profit making social service organization, established to promote education amongst educationally backward sections of the Society. It is fully funded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. The Honorable Minister of Minority Affairs is Ex-Officio President of the Foundation. It was registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 on 6th July 1989.
/ The General Body of the Foundation consists of 15 members out of which six members are ex-officio including the President, MAEF and rest nine members are nominated by the President, MAEF. The management of the Foundation is entrusted with its Governing Body, which consist of six members (including President, MAEF) selected from amongst the members of the General Body.


Guide lines and some instructions about Maulana Azad National Scholarship
              Maulana Azad Education Foundation provides scholarship. For meritorious girl students belonging to minorities. Online and offline forms can be filled for the academic year 2013-14 from 1st July 2013. Those girl students, who have got 55% in class 10th examination and got admission in class 11th in the year when result of 10th exam is declared, are eligible to apply for this scholarship scheme. 
 
While applying for the scholarship attention should be given to thefollowing important points:
•
The application form should be verified by the principal of present school/college.
•
Photo must be attested by the principal of present school/college.
•
Mark sheet should be attested by principal of present school/college.
•
Annual income of the parents must be less than 100000 (one lack).
•
Income certificate should produced in Hindi/English language only
.
•
Income certificate should be issued by Tahsildar, Block officer or Notary Public of the
concerned area/Block/Distt.
It has been observed that many students commit mistake in the following application form,
which causes difficulty for both the applicant as well as the office of the foundation. Therefore
following instructions must be followed while filling the application form.
•
Full name should be written in English (block letters).
•
Complete address like House No., street No., Block, District, State and Pin No must
be mentioned.
•
Phone No./mobile No. of parents/Guardian should also be mentioned in concerned
column.
•
If available Email address should also be provided.
•
A copy of bank passbook should also be enclosed to make it convenient to collect any
informal easily
